A beautiful space does not begin with choosing wall colours or furniture. It begins with understanding the person—their habits, values, lifestyle, and idea of comfort. This human-centred approach is what brings Dr. Chekhov and our partner architecture and design studio, Four Elements, together.
The studio creates private and public spaces where architecture, interiors, and the surrounding landscape come together as one. Its team guides each project through every stage—from developing the overarching concept to creating bespoke decorative pieces.

Space as an Extension of Nature

At the heart of the studio’s philosophy is the concept of “Home as Nature.” This approach allows architecture and design to engage with the natural environment, follow its rhythms, and help people maintain a meaningful connection with the world around them.
The studio works with sustainable, time-tested materials, including clay, casein paint, and natural textures. Historic architectural elements, cultural traditions, and craftsmanship blend seamlessly with modern technologies and contemporary design solutions.

A Signature Approach

The studio’s founder, Oksana Koval, is a designer and architect, a recipient of Russian and international interior design awards, and a contributor to the television programmes Dachny Otvet and Kvartirny Vopros.
Her cross-disciplinary design method considers architecture, interiors, landscaping, sustainability, and cultural context as interconnected elements. One of its key tools is the project’s “Green Passport,” which assesses materials, energy efficiency, and waste management.

From an Idea to a Work of Art

Four Elements operates as a full-service studio, offering:
  • architectural design;
  • private and public interior design;
  • landscape design and site development;
  • public-space concept development;
  • design of hotels, holiday resorts, and residential communities;
  • bespoke ceramic pieces.
The studio’s own art workshop creates vases, decorative panels, and wall pieces designed specifically for individual interiors. Made by hand, these objects become more than decoration—they become an emotional part of the space.
